ooooh, Happy Birthday! We went to Coldstone last night...my daughter and I! I was the best mom in the world. I follow!
I usually write them a note on a stickie and put it in their writer's notebook. I also usually say something about them in front of the class...something uplifting. We don't do too much but the simple things go a long way.
I'll post this at the end of my current blog post.
Happy Birthday! I follow your blog!!

For birthdays in my room I give my kids a birthday hat to wear all day - and they can choose out of my treasure box for a gift!

I am a special ed resource teacher, so I do not have a class of my own. I like to celebrate my students' birthdays in our small group time in my resource room. I usually buy some kind of treat for the group to share, since most of my students' parents cannot afford to send in treats for everyone. We sing happy birthday and each kids tells their favorite thing about the birthday girl or boy.
Happy Happy Birthday!!! I follow your blog :-)
I have a Birthday post on my blog but we celebrate birthdays 1x a month and each b-day child can bring in a treat, have me read a special birthday themed book and they get a little goody bag that I prepare at the beg of the year.

Birthdays are so important for 6 and 7 year olds! We celebrate in lots of ways and I've found so many great ideas that I am going to incorporate this year. There parents can bring or send in a tasty treat for the class and read a favorite book.

In my classroom we celebrate birthdays with a birthday book or game that the child's family sends in for the student to unwrap in front of the class. With all the allergies and health regulations, this works out very nicely and we have a new book or game for the classroom!

In my classroom we sing our students the birthday song as a part of our morning calendar routine. We sing: Happy, happy birthday from Ms. Holk's class to you....We wish it was our birthday so we could part too! Students get a birthday pencil, and get to be the calendar helper for that day. Sometimes parents bring in goodies in the afternoon too which I try to limit to about 15 minutes near the end of the day.

In my classroom, I have a box wrapped in birthday wrapping paper, filled with birthday books. After receiving their card and pencil, the birthday student chooses a story from the box for read-aloud.
I posted about your Birthday Giveway! I am a new blogger. Happy to join your followers!

In my classroom I do a monthly birthday celebration. I have found this helps when you have several birthdays in one month. We have a small class celebration with treats brought in by the birthday children. I read a few birthday stories to the class and give the birthday child a treat bag. The treat bag has a special pencil, bookmark, stickers, and other small trinkets.
